Invite a friend, earn for a year

Starting today, every velixir account has a referral link. Send it to someone who needs somewhere to host a web app. Their first top-up is matched, up to €10. Once they've been with us for three months, you get €20, then 10% of every payment they make for a year.

What your friend gets

Web app hosting in any language, on servers in the EU, and a head start. Their first top-up is matched with up to €10 of referral credit, on top of the credit every new account starts with. Top up €10, and they have €20 to spend.

Referral credit is used before the money they paid in, and it doesn't expire while their team exists.

Signed up without your link? They can still add your code on their own Refer & earn page, within 30 days of signing up and before their first top-up.

What you get

€20 when your referral qualifies. That's once their team has paid at least €20 and used it, has used velixir in three different months, and made its first payment at least 90 days earlier. In other words, once they've properly moved in.

Then 10% of every payment they make for the next 12 months. Each payment counts 14 days after it's made, so one that's refunded straight away never pays out.

If a friend pays €20 a month, one invite earns you €44 by the end of their fifteenth month: €20 when they pass three months, then €2 a month for the next twelve.

Credit or cash

What you earn lands in your referral wallet, and you choose what happens to it.

As credit, on any team you own or administer, whenever you like. It's used before your paid balance and doesn't expire.

As cash, by bank transfer (SEPA) to an account in your name, once you have €50 cleared. Earnings clear 60 days after they're earned. We check every withdrawal before it goes out, and we may ask you to confirm who you are.

Why you wait three months

A referral programme that pays out on sign-up pays whoever can make the most accounts, because accounts are free. The usual fix is small rewards and strict rules, which mostly puts off the honest people.

Ours only unlocks once your referral has really paid and really used velixir, and it never pays out more than they paid. A fake account costs at least as much as it could earn, and takes three months to find that out. That's what lets us pay you in money you can withdraw, not points, and keep paying for a whole year.

Your friend doesn't wait at all. Their match arrives with their first top-up.

The fine print, in plain words

• Your rewards unlock once you've paid €10 yourself. Share your link before then if you like: anyone who qualifies first waits for you.
• Your own accounts, people already on your teams, and anyone who pays with your card don't count.
• A referral that hasn't qualified within a year of signing up is closed.
• If a payment is refunded or disputed, the rewards it earned are reversed, including rewards you've already used or withdrawn.
• If you earn more than 10 bounties in a month, a person checks the extra ones before they're paid.
• Please don't spam your link, present yourself as velixir, or bid on "velixir" in search ads.
• Any tax due on what you earn is yours to pay.
